
Pedro Augusto Mendes is a Brazilian qualified Lawyer, currently working with International Arbitration at Herbert Smith Freehills Paris as a legal trainee. Fully capable to communicate in four different languages (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish) and improving skills in one more (Mandarin Chinese), he is studying his Master Degree at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas in Litigation, Arbitration and ADR after an “assez bien” results at the D.S.U in French Administrative Law also at Paris II, as part of his Master’s studies. He is post-graduated in International Law and Human Rights at Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais. During his LLB at the Law School of Federal University of Amazonas (Brazil), he participated in seven different arbitration competitions as orateur, coach and arbitrator, such as the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court and also followed the Latin American International Arbitration Course from the Université de Genève and The International Academy for Arbitration Law from the Comité Français d’Arbitrage.
